Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Zack Jacomowitz and let's just say that aside from my family and amazing girlfriend, Megan, weather and Mets baseball are my passions. Don't worry though, this blog will only focus on weather and forecasting.

I currently reside in Queensbury, NY, which borders and surrounds the City of Glens Falls. Some popular and well-known places of interest in this area include Lake George just 7 miles north and Saratoga Springs; just about 10 miles south on the Northway. I grew up, however, in the suburban Lower Hudson Valley Village of Airmont, NY, just about a 30-40 minute (no traffic) drive from Manhattan. I graduated from Suffern High School (Go Mounties!) in June 2014. For the first time in my life, I packed up my things and moved north to the Syracuse-suburb of Oswego, NY; right on the southeastern shoreline of Lake Ontario. There, I pursued my passion in meteorology and physical sciences and graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology and Minor in Mathematics in May 2018. My dream has come true! After four difficult years of intense math, but amazing experiences in the theory and conceptual background of Meteorology, I was an actual meteorologist! 

My next journey and chapter in life brought me to the Glens Falls, NY area, where as I mentioned above, currently reside. I moved here in August 2018 to begin a new career working as a Synoptic Marine Meteorologist for Weather Routing, Inc.; a company the specializes in marine routing and forecasting, among other things. 

I am always seeking more knowledge and information and attempting to become a better forecaster. I hope that this blog helps me grow in these areas. I will likely focus on weather here in the Northeast U.S., especially New York State and the Capital District on south to New York City. Please note that this is my personal blog and therefore, only reflects my writing and forecast/opinions. For decision-making, please reference official forecasts and products that are issued by NOAA/National Weather Service.
